What is Hacktoberfest?
Hacktoberfest is a month long celebration of open source software run by DigitalOcean. Hacktoberfest is open to everyone in our global community! Four quality pull requests must be submitted to public GitHub repositories. You can sign up anytime between October 1 and October 31.

Enter your email on the Hacktoberfest homepage to sign up to receive updates on this year’s program.

Do I get a prize for participating?
Aside from the knowledge you’ll gain (and the fun you’ll have), you’ll also receive a limited edition Hacktoberfest T-shirt for submitting 4 valid pull requests.

What are the rules?
To win a shirt, you must sign up on the Hacktoberfest site and make four pull requests on GitHub by October 31st. Pull requests do not have to be merged and accepted. As long as they've been opened and marked as ready-for-review between the beginning of October 1 and the very end of October 31, they count toward a free T-shirt.
